CLADDING REPLACEMENT
Replacement of aged cladding at Lyneham Primary School for Kier Group
Project summary
Carman Contracting replaced ageing composite cladding at Lyneham Primary School on behalf of Kier Group and Wiltshire Council. The project involved removing the deteriorated cladding, installing a new cedar cladding system and a breathable vapour barrier to improve weatherproofing and protect the building against future moisture damage. Completed over a three-week programme, the majority of works were carefully planned around the school half-term. Work areas were sectioned off during term time, and towers were used instead of traditional scaffolding for a safer, more controlled solution, fitting around pupils and daily school activities.
