CHELSEA SQUARE

Fire protection for historic residential buildings, Cheltenham

Project summary

ASH Chartered Surveyors appointed Carman Contracting to deliver fire protection, including firestopping works, at Chelsea Square, a historic development in Cheltenham’s conservation area. The project involved upgrading fire protection in risers across six buildings, including the Grade II listed Shaftsbury Hall. Our team installed new fire board systems, removed outdated materials and ensured all works met current safety standards. Despite the site’s listed status, we delivered the upgrade sensitively, preserving architectural integrity while enhancing fire protection.
