Carman Contracting’s new build solar installation for Meridian Cooling

Carman Contracting has completed a high-performance solar installation as part of a new build property at the prestigious Avon Castle Drive estate in Ringwood, Hampshire, on behalf of  Meridian Cooling.

The installation, managed by Callum King, helps meet KWP (Kilowatt Peak) targets and reduce the property’s long-term energy consumption.

Our scope of work included the design and installation of a 12.3kWp solar PV system, comprising 24 x 515W Aiko Neostar panels installed on flat roof ballasted systems. Designed for residential installations, the Aiko Neostar panels deliver excellent energy output, improved temperature performance and reliable operation over the lifetime of the system. A Tesla Powerwall 3 with an integrated inverter provides 13.5kWh of energy storage for converted solar energy and backup power in the event of an outage.

Our team carried out the installation in phases over 4-5 days, fitting in with other trades and the overall build programme.

“Installing the solar PV during the new build stage made a huge difference. It allowed us to design and integrate the system easily into the property from the beginning. This made the installation more efficient and cost-effective,” explains Callum King, Project Manager. “For the homeowner, it means lower energy bills and greater energy independence. Ultimately, it’s about future-proofing the property and delivering long-term value.”
