Carman Contracting names The Pink Place as its first Charity of the Year

We’re proud to announce that Carman Contracting has chosen The Pink Place as our inaugural Charity of the Year. This is the start of our long-term support for organisations that make a real difference within the local community. 

Based in Basingstoke, The Pink Place has been supporting women affected by cancer since 2010. Through a range of wellbeing services, such as counselling therapies, yoga therapy, mindfulness classes, social activities and peer group support, the charity offers a safe space where no woman needs to face cancer alone.

The charity has a personal connection with Carman Contracting. Our Financial Director, Kevin Croombs, is a trustee, and through his involvement, we have learnt about the vital, often unseen work this fantastic charity does for women living with cancer across North Hampshire.

Small charities are facing increasing demand for their services while managing rising operating costs, and The Pink Place is no different. By selecting the charity as our first Charity of the Year, Carman Contracting aims to raise vital funds and awareness to help ensure its important work can continue.

Kevin said: "We're delighted to be partnering with The Pink Place. The work the charity carries out is genuinely life-changing, providing comfort, friendship, and practical support to women at one of the most difficult times in their lives.”
