Carman Contracting celebrates six years of growth and new partnerships

Carman Contracting is celebrating its sixth anniversary and another successful year of continued growth, new client partnerships and an investment in our people, services, and capabilities.

Over the past 12 months, we’ve expanded our project management and site management team from three to ten people, doubled our office-based workforce from three to six, and grown our hybrid and electric vehicle fleet from five to eleven vehicles. We're also on course to increase our annual turnover from £7.2 million in 2025 to a forecast £10 million this year.

"I'm incredibly proud of what we've achieved in just six years," said Director James Selwood. "We've continued to invest in the business, strengthened relationships with existing clients and welcomed several new team members including our FD Kevin Croombs. Since our early days as an electrical contractor, we launched our dedicated renewable energy division three years ago and successfully expanded into fire protection.”

This has also been a groundbreaking year for new partnerships and projects. We can now include Kier, Allegra Care, West 1, Hawkworks, Mitie and Domus in our growing portfolio of repeat clients. Our projects over the past year have included renewable energy installations at McKay Trading Estate and Queen Alexandra Hospital, school improvement works at Lyneham Primary School, fire protection projects for Allegra Care's Olive Tree House and Rose Garden care homes, Mitie Entain works, government office upgrades, LED lighting replacements, switchroom upgrades and new office fit outs for Jade Aden Interiors and KC Electrical.

"Looking back over the past year, winning the highly competitive tender for Parsonage Barns, our first major residential contract for New Forest District Council, was a big achievement for us,” added James. “We've also built a strong working relationship with Kier, delivering improvement projects for Wiltshire County Council’s schools. It's been another outstanding year for the business, but we're only just getting started.”
