Carman Contracting celebrates 5 years of growth and continued success
Carman Contracting is proud to celebrate its fifth anniversary this year. Over the past five years, we've grown rapidly, secured high-profile contracts, established a reputation as a dependable partner across both commercial and private sectors, and outgrown our offices!
The company has come a long way since Rory Carman and James Selwood founded the business in 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. We've grown from a two-man operation into a thriving contractor with a reputation for quality and reliability across the South West, South East and London.
"In the early days, long hours and late nights were the norm," said James. "Rory and I worked tirelessly around the clock during the pandemic, focusing on government contracts while simultaneously growing our team and overcoming numerous challenges."
The hard work paid off. Since then, Carman Contracting has evolved, delivering a string of high-profile projects, including significant works at Taunton Crown Court and Havant Justice Centre, as well as securing our first large-scale residential contract for New Forest District Council, which we won through a highly competitive tender.
Now, five years after the company formed, we've recently moved into a new, larger office at Austin Park to support our continued expansion. Just a minute's walk from our original premises, the move reflects the significant progress the business has made in such a short time.
In a fitting role reversal, our long-standing client, Jade Aden Interiors, installed the interior partitioning, helping create an open-plan workspace with breakout offices and an acoustic booth for private meetings.
"Our growth since James and I formed the company in 2020 has been incredible. In the past five years, we've extended our expertise to include renewables and fire safety," said Rory Carman, Director of Carman Contracting.
"This is only the beginning," said James. "We've built a solid foundation and have ambitious plans for the next five years, and beyond."
